Read the Instructions for Use if available from your pharmacist before you start taking glutamine and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually twice daily. The dosage is based on your weight, medical condition, and response to treatment. Open the packet and pour the powder into 4 to 6 ounces (120 to 180 milliliters) of soft food (such as applesauce, yogurt) or 8 ounces (240 milliliters) of liquid (such as water, milk, apple juice) as directed. The soft food or liquid should be cold or at room temperature. Do not use hot food or liquid. Mix well (the powder may not fully dissolve) and take the mixture right away.

Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day.

Do not increase your dose or use this drug more often or for longer than prescribed. Your condition will not improve any faster, and your risk of serious side effects will increase.

Tell your doctor if your condition lasts or gets worse.
