What is Hyftor used for?
Sirolimus is used to treat clusters of bumps on the face (facial angiofibroma) in people with a certain genetic disorder (tuberous sclerosis). This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as immunosuppressants. It works by weakening your body's defense system (immune system).

Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before you start using sirolimus and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
This medication is for use on the skin only. Avoid getting this medication in your eyes or on the inside of your mouth or vagina.
Wash and dry your hands before applying the medication, then clean and dry the affected area. Apply a thin film of the medication to the affected area and gently rub in as directed by your doctor, usually twice daily (once in the morning and once at bedtime). Do not cover, bandage, or wrap the area unless directed to do so by your doctor.
The dosage is based on your medical condition, age, and response to treatment.
Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same times each day.
Do not increase your dose or use this drug more often or for longer than prescribed. Your condition will not improve any faster, and your risk of side effects will increase.
Tell your doctor if your condition does not get better after 12 weeks of using this medication or if your condition gets worse at any time.
