What is Geodon used for?

This medication is used to treat severe agitation associated with a certain mental/mood disorder (schizophrenia). Ziprasidone belongs to a class of drugs known as atypical antipsychotics. It works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain. Ziprasidone injection is used when quick relief of your symptoms is required. It is not used together with the form of this medication that is taken by mouth.
